A field experiment conducted in a vertisol of Malaprabha right bank command (MRBC) of Karnataka to study the effect of organic amended rock phosphate and P solubiliser on french bean revealed that application of single super phosphate and rock phosphate with vermicompost (1 :2) and phosphate solubilising bacteria gave comparable plant height, quality, dry matter and yield. Therefore, rock phosphate along with P solubiliser and vermicompost can be used as source of P in vertisols.
