Yield Stability Analysis of Safflower Genotypes under Saline Conditions

M.S. Uma, S.G. Patil

Abstract

Nine promising safflower genotypes were studied to evaluate their stability for seed yield in three different saline environments. The genotype x environment interaction was found to be non significant for seed yield. The crop in general, gave better performance under low to medium saline environments. Genotypes like A-l, Nira and Manjira were found to be stable with high mean yield and average responses to the changes in the environmental conditions. Hence their exploitation in breeding programme will help in improving the productivity of the crop.
