Effect of Nutrients on Yield of Groundnut Cultivars

M. Krishnappa

Abstract

A study to evaluate the response of 18 groundnut cultivars to different macro-and micronutrients was conducted in a medium black soil (vertic soils) at Regional Research Station, Dharwad, during Kharif 1982. Application of NPK alone increased the pod yield considerably over no application. The effect of NPK + calcium and suphur was similar. The treatment NPK + 5 ppm iron gave the highest pod yield. On the contrary, application of boron + NPK reduced pod yield compared to NPK alone. There was significant difference in yield among groundnut cultivars tested. Top seven cultivars were Dh-3-30 > OG-11-3 > AG-8445 > J-l > TG-9 > Dh-8 > TG-17
