Abstract

Seven newer insecticides were evaluated against cotton whitefly, leafhopper, aphid and on bollworm damage at the Regional Research Station, Raichur, Karnataka during 1986-89. Triazophos 40 EC at 0.6 kg a. i/ha was found superior in reducing both immature and adult whitefly and bollworm damage. However, its efficacy on cotton aphid and leafhopper was less pronounced. The next best insecticide in controlling whitefly was butacarboxim 50 EC at 1kg a.i/ha
