Studies on Cultural and Growth Characters of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides - A Casual Agent of Shisham Blight

Abstract
The pathogenic monosporus culture of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides made good, white to greyish myceiial growth with abundant sporulation on Czapek's, host leaf extract, 2 per cent sucrose, oat meal and Richard's agar media and good myceiial quantity on Richard's and potato dextrose broths. Glucose asparagine, both in liquid and solid state supported least myceiial output with moderate sporulation. Maximum myceiial weight was recorded on 12th day of seeding on potato dextrose broth at 25° C of temperature
