Two field trials were conducted to optimize the number of insecticidal applications for the pod borer control in redgram at National Agricultural Research Project, Bidar. Of the three crop growth stages, spraying three rounds of ondosulfan 0.07 per cent at 15 days interval from pod initiation setting gave better control of pod borer giving highest economic returns.
