Of the seven fungicides tested for their efficicacy against D. hawaiiensis under field conditions, the best control of the disease was obtained with fenapanil at 0.1% and mancozeb at 0.2%. These fungicides were found to be effective in reducing the per cent disease index and in increasing thousand grain weight andyield
