Nine fungi were encountered on redgram seeds. Among these AspergUlus niger, A. flavus, Fusarium moniliforme and AUernaria alternate were predominant. AspergUlus niger, A flavus, A. alternata and their culture filtrates subseantially reduced germination and seedling vigour. Fusarium moniliforme was found in seed coat as well as in embryo
