Pattern of Weight Gain Among Rural, Children From Birth to Six Years

Abstract
A longitudinal study was undertaken on a sample of 220 rural children to assess the pattern of weight gain from birth to six years. The results revealed that gains during the first five months were optimum, but between 6 months to 12 months 30 per cent of the infants lost weight. The gains from 12 months to 72 months were low.
