Organoleptic Evaluation of Flesh of Carps Fed on Four Different Kinds of Feeds

Abstract


Organoleptic evaluation of raw and cooked flesh of grass carp and common carp grown by feeding three formulated feeds based on Eichhornia, Pistia, Salvinia and Conventional feed indicated no significant difference in their flesh quality. Possible reasons for the insignificant difference in the organoleptic quality of flesh of fishes with respect to feeds have been discussed. Overall quality of flesh of carps was not affected by feeding with the three formulated feeds
