The study conducted on the awareness and knowledge level of potato cultivation practices by potato farmers in four villages of Dharwad taluka revealed that majority of potato growers were aware of kuiri Chandramukhi (84%) followed by kufri Jyoti (47%). The study also revealed that 52 per cent potato farmers were having high knowledge level with 56.62 mean knowledge index and there was no significant association between knowledge level and the independent variables viz., education, landhotding and mass media participation
