Screening of Soybean germplasm entries for resistance to the leaf miner, Aproaerema modicella (Deventer) based on the percent leaflets damaged and damage grade index over three trials proved Soya-1 to be moderately resistant. There being a significant positive relationship between these two criteria (per cent leaflets damaged and damage grade index), either of them could be used for assessing the reaction of entries.
