Effect of Irrigation Regimes on Oil Yield and Quality Characteristics of Groundnut

H.S. Babalad, G.N. Kulkarni

Abstract

Results of the investigation revealed that Scheduling of irrigation at 50 per cent depletion of available soil moisture (ASM) recorded significantly higher oil yield (17.44 q/ha) as compared to irrigation scheduled at 75mm cumulative can evaporation (CCE), 100mm CCE and at critical stages but was on par with scheduling of irrigation at 50mm CCE and at weekly interval* Significant variations in shelling percentage and oil content was observed in different treatments. However, protein percentage did not differ significantly. Consumptive use of water was significantly higher in Tl (734.76mm) over rest of the treatments
