Shootfly and downy mildew which are serious menace of sorghum  have been effectively controlled by the individual applictioos of carbofuran seed dress and metaUyl respectively. Studies on the Compatibility of carbofuran seed dress and metalaxy! revealed) &o deleterious effect on seedling emergence.  Further this combination wareffecttve in simultaneous control of shootfly and sorghum downy mildew and showed synergestic effect.
