Abstract

Monospore culture of Bipolaris sorokiniana (Sacc.) Shoem, was obtained from the infected leaves of tritcale. The fungus made maximum growth on tenth day after seeding, beyond which autolysis occuried. Among different liquid media, Richards medium supported the maximum iryceKal growth. The fungus attained highest growth at pH 6.6 and af temperature 25°C. Culture changed the initial pH of the medium at the end of incubation period.
