A Pot culture experiment was conducted in base unsaturated soil to study the response of groundnut to lime levels as estimated by the double buffer method of Mclean ef a/., (1978). Liming increased the haulm and pod yield to a maximum of 58.71 and 49.74 percent respec­tively over RDF a* 1.5 LR. Nutrients uptake by different parts of groundnuts was also maximuni at 1.5 LR level. At 2.0 LR levej yield as well as nutrients up take by groundnut decreased significantly.
