S.M. Hiremath, N. Basavaraj, P.R. Dharmatti

Abstract

An experiment was conducted during kharif season of 2001-02 and 2002-03 to know the effect of location, spacing and fertilizer levels on yield and yield attributes of paprika. Significant differences were observed among the location, spacing and fertilizer levels for yield and yield attributes. Plants grown at Dharwad location recorded highest yield by virtue of the higher fruit parameters. The plants grown with closer spacing recorded higher yield per hectare while, the fruit parameters were significantly superior in the wider spacing but recorded least per hectare yield. Application of higher fertilizer levels improved yield and yield attributes significantly.
