Abstract

Field experiments were carried out for two consecutive kharif seasons of at Agricultural Research Station Ragolu (North Coastal Agro- climatic Zone of A. P) to study the influence of mulching and micronutrient management practices on the growth and yield of rainfed upland rice.  Three mulching practices were taken in main plots and eight micronutrient management practices were allotted to sub plots and tested in a split plot design, replicated thrice with Pushkala as the test variety. Statistically noticeable disparity was found in the Fe and Zn deficiency symptoms score (as indicated by per cent of clumps affected) due to mulching as well as micronutrient management practices.  Significantly higher grain yield wa associated with F5 (Fe and Zn-foliar) at M2 (baga sse mulch), which was however comparable with M3 (rice husk mulch), while the lowest grain yield was with M1 (no mulch) at F1 (Control).
