Extent of adoption of improved technologies by groundnut farmers and constraints analysis

Abstract


The research study was conducted in Raichur district of Karnataka during 2010 with the sample size of 120 respondents. The ex-post-facto research design was used for the study. It was corroborated that more than half of the respondents (55.00%) belongs to full adopter category followed by varieties (45.oo%), Seed rate (23.33%), Spacing (23.00%), land preparation (20.00%), where as lesser percentage of respondents noticing in full adopter category in disease management (2.50%), organic manure (3.33%), and seed treatment with bio-agents. More than half of respondents identified in partial adopter category in all most all selected technologies except pest (23.33%) & disease management (20.83%). In no adoption category , more than half of the respondents are not following improved technologies in disease management (76.67%) & pest management (75.00%).
