Abstract

An investigation carriedout at Agricultural Research Station, Mugad, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, during the kharif season of 1998-99 to study the efficacy of rockphosphate through integrated nutrient management (INM) approach on uptake and availability of nutrients in upland paddy in a clay loam soil with var. Amrut revealed that application of organic manures with or without P solubilizer increased the uptake and availability of major nutrients at all the stages of crop growth. DAP+FYM recorded the maximum uptake of N, P and K, which were significantly superior to MRP. Similarly the highest uptake and availability were recorded when MRP was used with organics and phosphorus solubilizing bacteria (Pseudomonas striata).
