The present study is attempted to know the opinion of beneficiaries about development programmes camedout in better and poor performing grama panchayats under respective panchayat raj institutions in Karnataka. Majority of the Better Performing Grama Panchayat Beneficiaries (BPGP) opined that development department officials were involved occasionally in planning, execution and evaluation stage. The similar opinion was drawn by beneiciaries of Poor Performing Grama Panchayat (PPGP) also. A majority of the benficiaries of BPGP opined that, officials were involved in praparation of plan of work whereas, beneficiaries of PPGP opined that officials, PR members and people were involved in preparation of plan of work.
