Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at Sirsi Taluk of Uttar Kannada district to study the effect of moistureconservation and nutrient management on one year old Artocarpus heterophyllus during 2012-13. The experiment consistsof four main, four sub treatments and sixteen interactions with three replications laid out in split plot design. Amonginteractions, full moon basin with 30:18:9 N:P2O5:K2O kg/ha + FYM @ 5t/ha recorded significantly higher plant height(181.70cm), collar diameter (18.31mm) and crown diameter (103.41cm) at 12 months after treatment. The soil moisturecontent at 0-30 cm depth (11.68%) and 30-60 cm (12.95%) recorded significantly higher in full moon basin with 30:18:9N:P2O5:K2O kg/ha + FYM @ 5 t/ha as compared to other treatments.
