The study was conducted to assess the achievement motivation of male and female emerging adults in relation tosocioeconomic status. The random sample consisted of 110 UAS group and 110 non-UAS group of urban and rural areawas selected from Dharwad district of Karnataka state. The results revealed that there was significant association betweenachievement motivation of male and female emerging adults. There was no significant association between achievementmotivation and socioeconomic status of UAS and non-UAS group of emerging adults.
