Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during kharif, 2015 at AgriculturalResearch Station. Malnoor, University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur,Karnataka, to study the weed management practices in irrigatedBt-cotton. The results revealed that pendimethalin 38.7 CS(PRE)-pyrithiobac sodium 10 EC as POE at 30 DAS recorded 2253kg ha-1,` 70745 ha-1 and 3.31 higher seed cotton yield, net return and B:Crespectively. This may be attributed to superior yield and growthparameters like bolls per plant (39.57) and plant height (133.5 cm). This may be due to the efficient weed control, higher weed controleficiency (85.16%) and lower weed index (9.03) in this weedmanagement practice. Though weed free check recorded higher seedcotton yield, net returns and B:C were low due to high cost of cultivation
