Effect of foliar application of nutrients and growth regulators on post-harvest quality of sapota under hill zone of Karnataka

Abstract


The present investigation was conducted to study the effect of preharvestfoliar application of nutrients and plant growth regulators onshelf life and post-harvest quality of sapota under hill zone ofKarnataka. The results revealed that calcium chloride (CaCl2) sprayat 1 per cent resulted minimum weight loss (14.71%), fruit decay(16.33 %) with maximum days to ripen (9.87 days), shelf life (12.37days) and fruit firmness (1.04 kg/cm2) under ambient condition.
