Abstract

The field experiment was conducted during kharif 2017 at the Agricultural Research Station, Siruguppa, Karnatakato evaluate the response of maize to the general Grade-I micronutrient mixture of Karnataka State Department of Agricultureconsisting of Fe-2 %, Zn-3 %, Mn-1 % and B-0.5 %. The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design involvingnine treatments with three replications. It was observed that foliar application of micronutrients showed significant effecton growth and yield parameters of maize crop. Among the various treatments, the growth parameters viz., plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, leaf area index and dry matter production was highest in the treatment that received RDF + Soilapplication of FeSO4 and ZnSO4 each at 25 kg ha-1 plus foliar spray of Grade-I @ 10 ml l-1 at 40 and 60 days after sowing(DAS). Moreover, it also recorded highest grain yield (10875.20 kg ha-1) and stover yield (12626.72 kg ha-1) than the othertreatments.
