Abstract

A field experiment was conducted to know the effect of micronutrientsand growth regulators on growth, seed yield and seed qualitycomponents in perennial fodder sorghum during kharif season of2013 at the Main Agricultural Research Station, University ofAgricultural Sciences Dharwad. Three micronutrients viz., Zincsulphate, Ferrous sulphate and Magnesium sulphate were applied tosoil @ 15 kg/ha at the time of sowing as well as foliar application @0.5% of these micro nutrients and growth regulators GA3 and NAA@ 200 ppm at flowering time. The results revealed that, among themicronutrients used, application of zinc sulphate at 15 kg per ha tosoil at sowing resulted in increased growth parameters, yieldcomponents and seed yield in perennial fodder sorghum than theapplication of other two micronutrients. Among the growth regulatorsNAA was found to be superior over GA3.
