Studies were conducted to evaluate the bio-efficacy of Chlothianidin (Poncho 600 FS) a new seed dresser at different dosages along with popular seed dressers against cotton early sucking pests in rainfed cotton for two seasons.  Results of pooled analysis indicated that seed treatment with Chlothianidin (Poncho 600 FS) at 9 ml/kg afforded protection from the three (Thrips, Aphids, Jassids) early season sucking pests.  Significantly highest seed cotton yield (11.23 q/ha) was harvested from the Poncho 600 FS @ 9 ml/kg treated plots which was closely followed by Imidacloprid 70 WS @ 10 g/kg seeds.  There was no phytotoxicity of Poncho 600 FS treatments on the cotton hybrid DHH-11.
